Basically, come in whatever makes you feel like dancing. (Or at least whatever makes you feel celebratory. Dancing is encouraged, but not actually required.) Blue jeans and cowboy boots are perfectly appropriate. So are skirts that bell out when you spin, fairy wings, kilts, bowling shirts, Star Trek uniforms, tuxedos, …..
Keep in mind that Ida Noyes isn't air conditioned. The floor to ceiling windows will be open and fans will be blowing.
Isn't Ida Noyes where they used to hold that Lacivious Ball thing? How does that relate to the dress code?
ReplyDeleteIt's true. Ida Noyes was the site of the infamous Lacivious Costume Ball. And at least one of us attended it in our misspent youth. (She was not the woman who wore only a boa constrictor.) And a tame event it was, too. Nerdity +nudity ≠ licentious behavior.

1. Free admission with total nudity
2. Half price admission with lascivious costume
3. Full price in street clothes.
Two points to keep in mind:
1. We have no admission charge
2. Wearing a telephone costume and going as phone sex makes it hard to dance, as someone's date demonstrated nicely.
