At this point, the kid count is 5-6 under the age of 6, 2 grade schoolers, and any number of the young at heart.

A few more details about Saturday night

1. There will be a kid-appropriate dinner choice for the 10 and under crowd.

2. Those of you who tend to run a little late don't need to worry: Drinks and tasty bites will be served from 5:00 to 5:30. Dinner will actually start at 5:30.

Carol asked: Will there be food and, if so, what should we expect?

5:00 Dinner (Carol: You'll have to forgive us for not divulging menu details. It will be delicious, creative, and not too spicy. We're not saying another word.)

6:30 Dance lesson by Monica Vachlon--An opportunity to get into the waltz and two-step groove

7:00-10:00 Music by the fabulous Cajun Aces (and Sandy for a tune or two)--We'll be on the dance floor. We hope you will be, too, whether you waltz, two-step, or just wiggle like a crazy person.

What are Pamela and Sandy wearing to the party?

Evidently what to wear is a source of some anxiety. We keep getting variations on the clothes question.

Sandy is wearing jeans, cowboy boots, and a casual shirt.

Weather permitting, Pamela is going to wear her wedding dress. (Not white, not poofy, not tradtional.) It's not exactly casual, but definitely a costume.

Anything in between should be fine, really.

Where are you registered?

Pam and Sandy say in chorus:  Please, no gifts. Really. We already have too much stuff.

What's the dress code?

Pam says:  creative casual.

Sandy says:  I don't know what that means.

Basically, come in whatever makes you feel like dancing. (Or at least whatever makes you feel celebratory.  Dancing is encouraged, but not actually required.)  Blue jeans and cowboy boots are perfectly appropriate.  So are skirts that bell out when you spin, fairy wings, kilts, bowling shirts, Star Trek uniforms, tuxedos, …..  

Keep in mind that Ida Noyes isn't air conditioned.  The floor to ceiling windows will be open and fans will be blowing.
